I am Franca Cattalani, founder of Labirinto Boutique. My passion for fashion started early: growing up in an Italian family, I learned from an early age that clothing is a language of style, care and attention. In the 1970s, I used to watch my sisters in their elegant dresses fascinated, inspired by bright colors and unique silhouettes.
At 17, my first job at the historic Fiorucci boutique in Locarno marked my path. Fiorucci, with its ethnic and creative style, transformed the way I saw fashion, refining my search for clothing that was an expression of personality and originality.
In 1984, Japanese designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons, and Issey Miyake were revolutionizing the fashion world with their unmistakable avant-garde style. That same innovative energy drove me to realize my dream: to open my own boutique.
Thus was born The Labyrinth, a name inspired by Greek mythology and the personal journey in the search for the perfect style. Fashion is, in fact, a path made of choices, exploration and self-discovery.
In 1988, Labirinto moved to Via Cittadella, in the historic heart of Locarno, a neighborhood that over time became a reference for exclusive shopping. Here, in addition to selecting clothing from emerging brands and independent designers, I collaborate with artists, designers and artisans to create a unique and inspirational environment.
